We both are vegetarians and produce most of our vegetable foods and all eggs here on the farm. 13 egg layer chickens (2 black Ameraucanas and 11 Caramel Queens) deliver fresh eggs almost daily and our big garden provides us with salad-greens, peas, different kinds of cabbage, broccoli, potatoes, onions, garlic, carrots, fennel, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini a lot of different spices and and and…
Our chickens eat organic feed, but also a big amount of greens and insects they find while roaming freely around.
You can pick up your fresh eggs at our farm or we can bring them to McLeese Lake or Williams Lake, whenever we drive to town. Please send us a message: info@paradise-farm.ca
In fall 2017 our first big crop of garlic will be available for sale. We will plant the varieties Russian, Tibetan, Yugoslavian, French Rocambole and German Red.
One of our future projects is to produce vegetables for you too. At the moment we are still building the remaining rised garden beds and trying to find out which kind of veggies do best in our climatic zone (we go for zone 2 veggies and even those show some difficulties). We’re gardening organically, without chemicals and unnatural fertilizers.
We’re also planning a green house. We would like to build a type of a walipini into a hill to take advantage of the terrestrial heat.
